Advancing our efforts to support and promote energy efficiency in housing, CPC partnered with NYSERDA to host a three-day, virtual Carbon Neutral Summit series. The summit covered the increased need and benefit of energy efficiency in lending and featured industry pioneers from both the government and the nonprofit sector.

Inspiring remarks from CPC President & CEO Rafael E. Cestero and keynote speaker Dr. Jonathan Foley, Executive Director of Project Drawdown opened the summit, followed by engaging panels on Climate Action in NYS and NYC, Climate Justice and Building Decarbonization.

Part two of the Carbon Neutral Summit series: “Portfolio Management and Coordinating Retrofits: Low Carbon Solutions for New and Existing Buildings” featured keynote speaker Janet Joseph, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Market Development at NYSERDA and panels on Portfolio Optimization, NYSERDA’s Empire Building Challenge, and NYC Accelerator/ the NYC Carbon Challenge.
Day 3: Decarbonization in Practice – What’s Driving Demand for Low Carbon Buildings | Jan. 27, 2021
The final day of the CPC Carbon Neutral Summit focused on firsthand perspectives from developers of low carbon buildings, practical insights from government leaders, and a presentation of CPC’s Financing High-Performance: A Guide to Optimizing Energy Performance Across the Multifamily Building Lifecycle. We closed the Summit with an informative and inspiring keynote from New York Department of Housing and Community Renewal Commissioner RuthAnne Visnauskas.
