50th Anniversary Service Day with Partnership for Parks

In 2024, CPC marked our 50th anniversary with a meaningful Service Day at Crotona Park in the Bronx. To celebrate this significant milestone, we worked with Partnership for Parks, a public-private partnership between the City Parks Foundation and NYC Parks that supports volunteers to care for neighborhood green spaces. Partnership for Parks hosted us at the Roberto Clemente Ballfield, where over 100 CPC staff members joined forces to clean up debris, remove invasive plants, and repaint the bleachers. Collectively, we removed more than 100 bags of weeds and garbage, and applied over 20 gallons of paint. The remaining gardening and painting supplies were donated to the Parks Department, ensuring that they have the tools they need to maintain the space going forward.
