Christopher C. Banino Joins The Community Preservation Corporation

IT Leader Will Serve as New Director of Information Technology

New York, NY, August 26, 2013 – The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), a leading non-profit lender for affordable housing throughout New York State, announced today that Christopher C. Banino, former Head of IT – Americas of E.D. & F. Man, Inc., has joined the New York City CPC office as Director of Information Technology.

Cestero, President and CEO, The Community Preservation Corporation. “His experience with technology and data management will facilitate multiple IT initiatives to provide the necessary tools to strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. In his role as Director of Information Technology, Mr. Banino will be responsible for developing IT initiatives to help advance CPC’s goals within New York State while also facilitating the maintenance of the existing IT infrastructure. He will focus on constructing a new platform that will enable CPC to better serve communities across New York, and will report directly to CPC’s CFO, Kevin Moran.

Mr. Banino brings 20 years of experience in managing technology worldwide. While at E.D. & F. Man, Inc., he provided technical guidance for 25 offices across the Americas and facilitated higher quality technical efficiency. Prior to that, he spent six years as Director of Information Technology for the New York Stock Exchange, Inc., where he managed approximately $5 million in technology assets while providing technical advice to ensure consistently seamless integration of new services across platforms. He has also served as the Director of Data Administration for Value Line Inc. in New York. Mr. Banino holds a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University.
