Training for BIPOC Real Estate Developers

The free, virtual training program offered by CPC ACCESS will feature instruction by Let’s Brainstorm LLC and consist of several, approximately two-hour sessions to be held in early 2022 on topics including the following:

  • “So you wanna be a developer” primer on construction lending and borrowing
  • Preparing for a construction loan/credit committee: Qualifying for a construction loan
  • Closing a construction loan
  • Construction phase to permanent loan conversion
  • Sustainable Development


Development Team Assistance Offered by CPC

CPC ACCESS will support BIPOC developers with project development, including: scope of work, plan review, cost analysis, sources and uses analysis, credit analysis and construction.


The ACCESS Developer Incubator is seeking applicants who:

  • Identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)
  • Seek to expand skills and experience in multifamily real estate development
  • Have less than three years’ experience in housing, ownership, development and/or management and have produced less than 20 units or two buildings
  • Have operated in the Rochester, Syracuse, or Buffalo areas of New York for at least six months with sufficient cash liquidity
  • Own or plan to acquire a viable multifamily property or project in the Rochester, Syracuse, or Buffalo area for construction, rehabilitation, or renovation in the next 6 to 12 months
