New York – Feb. 25, 2015 – City & State Reports announced today its first group of Corporate Social Responsibility award winners for New York’s Real Estate, Construction & Housing sector. The awardees were selected following a public nomination process that commenced last month via City & State Report’s website. The awards will be presented March 31st at a special breakfast ceremony at John Jay College emceed by New York 1 News anchor Errol Louis.

One of the most important trends in business today, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) encompasses everything from philanthropy to environmentalism to the treatment of workers in the developing world. The goal of this important new series of awards and conference events is to promote CSR and encourage businesses to do well by doing good. To accomplish this, the events, conducted in partnership with the City University of New York, will highlight the best examples of CSR within the City’s corporate community.

Special Award for Corporate Achievement in Volunteerism - Bill Dacunto – Executive Vice President of Operations of Silverstein Properties
Special Award for All-Around Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility - Rafael Cestero – President & Chief Executive Officer of the Community Preservation Corporation
Excellence in the Responsible Management of a Non-Profit Organization - E. Bruce Barrett – Vice President for Architecture & Engineering of the NYC School Construction Authority
Outstanding Achievement in Sustainable Design for Public Schools - Mitch Roschelle – Partner & U.S. Real Estate Advisory Practice Leader of PwC
Distinguished Service Award for Contributions to Public Education & Child Literacy - Joseph Ienuso – Executive Vice President for Facilities & Operations of Columbia University
Excellence in the Promotion of Workplace Diversity
