Op-Ed: We need to lay the foundation for meaningful housing policy change

Across the country, we’re seeing housing prices rise, renters who are struggling to make ends meet, and property owners who can’t afford to pay their bills. As President Biden and his administration settle into the White House, and with Democrats now taking leadership in Congress, we have an opportunity to implement real policy solutions that turn the tide for the long-term and help to speed our nation’s recovery.


In today’s op-ed for The Hill, I shared my take how and why affordable and sustainable housing should be a focus of how our country “builds back better” and what it will take to make meaningful change, including a push for universal vouchers, emergency rental assistance, strengthening the LIHTC program and more.
